About
I am a Senior Teaching Fellow at Coventry University and a Consultant Physiotherapist in Primary Care with a proven track record of national clinical leadership. My career has been diverse, starting in the Army where I worked in mines and demolitions before transitioning to the Prison Service as a Physical Training Instructor. Later, I discovered my passion for physiotherapy and have held various Advanced Practice roles in different NHS settings, as well as National Clinical Lead roles and Professional Head of Physiotherapy at Nuffield Health.
As an educator and clinician, my focus is on creating a student-centred learning environment that is inclusive, supportive, and engaging. I collaborate with stakeholders, communities, and colleagues to design and deliver a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for success in their field and beyond. I am dedicated to addressing health inequalities and advancing clinical practice.
Outside of my work in healthcare and education, I am pursuing the final year of my Executive MBA at Ashridge. I have also lectured at Keele University and presented at UK and international conferences, including the World Physical Therapy Conference in South Africa. I have also owned several successful private practices and worked with elite athletes, accompanying them to various World and European Championships.
My true passion lies in education, community engagement, and clinical leadership.
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me at the CrossFit Box, blogging, or enjoying a double espresso. I cherish spending time with my supportive and exceptional wife and shuttling my two teenagers around.
